Dr Bob Docherty
Bob Joined the UK Fire Service in 1968. He retired in February 2001.
Bob was a member of the Institution of Fire Engineers serving on its International Council for over 20 years taking a particular interest in examinations and education. He was International President of the IFE in 1999/2000.
Bob has a First Class BA Honours degree and a PhD for his study on stress and coping in firefighters. He is also a Chartered Engineer.
He is the Chairman of the Institute of Fire Safety Managers.
He is now MD of his own successful consultancy, Flamerisk Safety Solutions Ltd. providing services from training, fire risk assessments through to fire engineering solutions throughout the world. He also deals with evacuation solutions for disabled people. He is still actively involved nationally and internationally in fire.
Andy N Jones
Andy N Jones BA Hons Arch FCABE FRICS is a practising Chartered Building Surveyor and Chartered Building Engineer and is also qualified in Architecture and Design. Andy regularly conducts building surveys of both commercial and domestic premises and has specific niche expertise in dilapidations relating to commercial landlord and tenant disputes.
Andy has acted as Expert Witness on a variety of matters related to the built environment ranging from boundary disputes to dampness defects. He has appeared in both Civil and Criminal Courts. Andy has also acted as a mediator in respect of boundary disputes. He regularly provides advice in respect of building defect diagnosis and remedial works. The compass of his expertise is quite extensive reflecting decades of practical experience.
